The Rise and Fall of Glass Island
Here, all of our products tell a story. Glass Island—originally Jack's Trading—was a very special island. It was first discovered by merchant sailors in the late 18th century. It was then used as a base for the company La Damiela. However, approximatly 50 years later, La Damisela's main ship crashed on the coast of the island, causing hundreds of thousands of glass bottles to be sent to Davy Jones' locker and the company to go out of buisness. Mid 18th century, this island was rediscovered by pirates, its beaches covered in seaglass from the lost bottles. It was renamed Glass Island and used as a safe island for pirates for over a century until eventually it was raided by the British and then abandoned.
